We are entering the home stretch of the One Room Challenge with only one week remaining! The past two weeks have been spent patching, caulking, painting, and sourcing décor. I have upped my game on this project by finding some really great products to use. Keep reading to find out what they are!
CRAWFORD'S NATURAL BLEND PAINTER'S PUTTY
I read about this stuff in the comments of a DIY post, and oh man, am I glad I tried it! I used it as an alternative to wood filler for the nail holes in the panel moulding. It eliminated the need to sand (and the mess that comes with it!). I just took a little bit out of the can, rolled it into a ball and rubbed it into the holes. A little smoothing with my finger finished the job! It is available at Sherwin-Williams and Amazon.
WAGNER PAINTSTICK EZ ROLLER INNER-FED PAINT ROLLER
I have no idea where this gadget has been all my life. It eliminates the need to constantly dip your roller in the paint tray by storing paint in the tube of the handle. You squeeze a trigger on the handle to release paint onto the roller. Seriously, this was amazing.
WHIZZ PREMIUM EDGER
This tool was incredible for painting the inside corners of the frames as well as the borders. A little paint on this goes a long way.
BRUSHES FOR PANEL MOULDING
I tried the Zibra Trim and Corner Angle Brush to paint the trim moulding, and it worked pretty well. I finished with my favorite brush of all time, this little 2"Shortcut Brush from Lowe's.
It feels so good to have the frame moulding complete, but there is still so much work to be done with only one week left!
